I'm gonna tell a little bit about this.
So y'all understand what I'm talking about.
You know, down there have a plant
that grows out in the woods and fields,
and it's something like turnip green.
Everybody calls it oak salad.
I said, oak

I used to know a girl that lived down there,
and she'd go out in the evenings and take a massive bit.
Carrot, whole, cooked for supper.
Because that's about all they had to eat.
But they did all right.
Down in Louisiana, down in Louisiana,
where the alligators grow so mean, so mean,
to live there,

that'll spread through the world.
Made the alligators look tame,
oak salad at eight.

Everybody said it was a shame,
because her mama wasn't working on the chain game.
A mean, vicious woman.

Every day for supper time,
she'd go down by the truck patch and take her massive oak salad
and carry it in her home in her toad sack.

Her daddy was lazy and no count.
They claimed he had a bad back.
Her brother,
Grand Prince Ford,
was stealing watermelons out of my truck patch.

The gators got ready.
Everybody said it was a shame,

No one need a massive egg.
